Turnkey systems

In addition to the supply and installation of world leading fuel transfer and associated products, Orange County UK has become a respected name for the design, commissioning and installation of full systems including cabinet, monitoring, pipework and pump sets. Detailed below are some of the Turnkey solutions we have supplied for our customers:

Flexible stainless steel double walled pipes (stainless steel inner pipe with stainless steel outer pipe) are used to supply diesel fuel safely through high rise buildings. Emergency generator sets on the building roof are supplied with fuel from bulk diesel tanks in the basement. Pipework is permanently monitored for leakage using high pressure nitrogen leak detection systems.

During construction all mains power to the site was to be disconnected for a planned five months to allow changeover to new supplies.  Orange County was contracted to design a safe automatic and fully-monitored fuel system to supply fuel to four underground generators from an above ground bulk tank, via an in-tunnel buffer tank. The complete package was designed, approved, built and installed by Orange County in four weeks with all leak monitored pipe, tanks, a duplex pumpset and fuel control system. The system operated automatically for ten months before new mains power was re-instated and at all times remained  Monitored I Safe I Contained.

VAVA II is the largest superyacht designed and built in the UK at 96 metres, her design required aviation fuel to be transported safely from double bottom tanks under the tender bay to the helicopter deck and vent lines to be routed up to the funnel.

The final pipe route was torturous with 8 x 90° changes in direction negotiated successfully due to the flexible design of Brugg Safety Pipe.  The system was designed, supplied and installed fully monitored for all explosive fuel products (including petrol) and approved by Lloyds for the installation.
